I seriously want to see this movie. I won’t give anything away before the trailer, so:
I would be so refreshing to see a thoughtful, thought-provoking, well-done, nuanced science fiction movie. To me, good sci-fi is not about how big your laser is or how many tentacles…*cough*…it’s about telling a story outside of the reality that we are familiar with, often to shine light on simple truths that often get mucked up in the prejudices and preconceived notions of our own experiences.
All that being said, I am still totally gonna see Wolverine this weekend.
I’ve decided to revel in my own nerdy tendencies. Besides, I hear “geeky” is the new black. Goes with everything. Looks slimming.
